Venum Elite versus standard boxing gloves
The main difference lies in the construction and finish. The Venum Elite is fully handmade in Thailand, whereas many standard boxing gloves are machine-produced. The handcrafted work gives you reinforced seams and a more precisely finished product. The triple foam padding offers more protection than the standard double-layer padding in basic gloves. The extra mesh panel provides better ventilation during long training sessions, which you often miss in entry-level models.
Note: the size in oz (ounces) indicates the weight of the glove, not the size of your hand. For the right size, use the size guide and measure the circumference of your hand. Some athletes order multiple sizes to try on at home, but the size guide already provides reliable guidance based on your hand measurement and body weight. The glove size you choose also depends on the purpose: lighter weights (8-10 oz) for bag work, heavier (14-16 oz) for sparring.

What size Venum Elite Boxing gloves do I need?
Measure the circumference of your hand around the knuckles and check the size guide. The oz designation is the glove weight, not your hand size. Choose 8-10 oz for bag work, 12-14 oz for all-round training and 14-16 oz for sparring. Your body weight also plays a role in the choice.
Are the Venum Elite gloves suitable for beginners?
These gloves are mainly developed for advanced athletes who train regularly. Beginners can certainly use them, but entry-level models often offer better value for money if you're not yet sure whether you'll stick with the sport.
What is the difference between synthetic leather and real leather for boxing gloves?
This Venum Elite is made from synthetic leather, which is easier to maintain and vegan. Real leather is more durable and moulds better to your hand, but requires more care. For most training, synthetic leather offers sufficient quality.
Can I use these gloves for both boxing and kickboxing?
Yes, the Venum Elite is suitable for both sports. The triple foam padding and reinforced seams provide sufficient protection for bag work, pad work and sparring in both boxing and kickboxing and Muay Thai.

Ordering from outside the EU
Ordering from the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway or another country outside the EU? In the United Kingdom, Switzerland and the United States, our prices exclude VAT. We do not charge the destination country's VAT or any import duties at checkout: the carrier will charge them to you on delivery, possibly together with clearance fees. Customs clearance can take a few extra days.
Tracking
As soon as your order has been shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking link. You can use it to follow your shipment and see the expected delivery day. Nothing received? Please check your spam folder too. If there is still nothing in your inbox after the shipping confirmation, email us your order number.
Partial deliveries
If your order contains products with different delivery times, we may ship it in parts. You will then receive separate tracking for each shipment. You only pay the shipping costs once.

When is shipping free?
In the Netherlands and Belgium from an order value of €100. In Denmark from 500 kr, in Sweden from 1,000 kr, in Poland from 300 zł, in the Czech Republic from 2,500 Kč, in Romania from 500 lei and in the United Kingdom from £75. In Germany, the other EU countries and Norway from €150. Collection in Groningen is always free. Shipping to Switzerland and countries outside Europe is not free. Punch bags and puzzle mats are excluded from free shipping.
Can I choose the carrier myself?
In the Netherlands and Belgium, you choose between PostNL and GLS at checkout. In Belgium, you can also have your order delivered to a PostNL pick-up point. We ship to the other European countries with GLS, and to the United Kingdom and countries outside Europe usually with FedEx.
What is insured premium home delivery?

What if my parcel is delayed?
First check the tracking; sometimes a shipment is delivered later in the day or on the next working day. If the status does not change, email us your order number. We will contact the carrier straight away.
I entered the wrong address, what now?
Email us as soon as possible with your order number and the correct address. As long as the order has not been shipped yet, we will change it. If the shipment is already on its way, we will try to have it changed via the carrier.
How do returns work?
You have 30 days from delivery to register your return (60 days with Gold, 90 days with Platinum). Everything about returns, the costs and the returns portal can be found on our returns page.

Tip: for sparring, 14 – 16 oz is often used (or 16 & 18 oz for higher weight classes or sensitive sparring partners). For pads/bags, you can choose a lighter weight for more speed.
How to measure your hand circumference?
Use a flexible measuring tape around your hand just below the knuckles (excluding the thumb and without bandages). Measure snugly but not tightly.
Are you in doubt between two sizes? Choose based on hand circumference (more important than weight).
Do you usually wear bandages? If you are on the border, choose the larger oz size.
For technical sparring sessions or sensitive sparring partners: 16 & 18 oz.
Pay attention to brand and series: some models are more compact or roomier – check the product description.

De handschoenen zitten prima. Jammer genoeg is het niet echt leer waardoor de padding op de knokkels wat minder is. dus mijn voorkeur gaat toch wel naar echt leren handschoenen.
