In short: The Venum Challenger head guard for kids protects the forehead, cheekbones and chin with triple-density foam whilst remaining light enough for quick movements. Specially designed for young fighters who want to spar safely without restriction.
This head guard is developed for kids training in boxing, kickboxing or Muay Thai who need full head protection. Thanks to its low weight and velcro closure, the model is ideal for beginner to advanced young athletes who spar regularly. Choose an open model without chin protection if your child wants better air circulation or mainly does technical training without contact.

Full protection versus open head guard
The Challenger offers chin protection and cheekbone coverage, which significantly reduces the impact of strikes to the face and jaw. An open head guard without chin section ventilates better and allows more freedom when rotating the head, but leaves the chin and lower jaw unprotected. For competition simulations and intensive sparring sessions, this full protection is recommended. For pad work or light technical exercises, a lighter, more open model will suffice. The triple foam of the Challenger absorbs impacts more effectively than standard single-layer foam, which is essential for a developing child.
Choosing your size
Measure your child's head circumference around the widest point of the head, just above the eyebrows and ears. Compare this measurement with Venum's size chart: these are your child's body measurements, not the dimensions of the head guard itself. The velcro at the back offers some adjustment margin, but a size that's too small pinches and restricts blood circulation, whilst a model that's too large shifts during movement. If you're unsure between two sizes, look at your child's age and build: S/M typically fits up to around 10–12 years old, L/XL for larger children and younger teens.

Is this Venum Challenger head guard suitable for kids just starting to box?
Yes, the head guard is excellent for beginner and advanced young athletes. The light weight and velcro closure make the model easy to put on, whilst the triple-density foam and full face protection provide sufficient safety when sparring.
How do I measure the correct head guard size for my child?
Measure your child's head circumference with a measuring tape around the widest point, just above the eyebrows and ears. Compare those centimetres with Venum's size chart. Note: these are body measurements, not the dimensions of the head guard. The velcro offers some adjustment margin.
Can my child use this head guard for MMA or BJJ?
The Challenger is primarily designed for striking sports such as boxing, kickboxing and Muay Thai. For MMA or BJJ, a head guard is rarely worn; training is usually done without one or with special open sparring masks that don't restrict grappling.

Ordering from outside the EU
Ordering from the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway or another country outside the EU? In the United Kingdom, Switzerland and the United States, our prices exclude VAT. We do not charge the destination country's VAT or any import duties at checkout: the carrier will charge them to you on delivery, possibly together with clearance fees. Customs clearance can take a few extra days.
Tracking
As soon as your order has been shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking link. You can use it to follow your shipment and see the expected delivery day. Nothing received? Please check your spam folder too. If there is still nothing in your inbox after the shipping confirmation, email us your order number.
Partial deliveries
If your order contains products with different delivery times, we may ship it in parts. You will then receive separate tracking for each shipment. You only pay the shipping costs once.

In the Netherlands and Belgium from an order value of €100. In Denmark from 500 kr, in Sweden from 1,000 kr, in Poland from 300 zł, in the Czech Republic from 2,500 Kč, in Romania from 500 lei and in the United Kingdom from £75. In Germany, the other EU countries and Norway from €150. Collection in Groningen is always free. Shipping to Switzerland and countries outside Europe is not free. Punch bags and puzzle mats are excluded from free shipping.
Can I choose the carrier myself?
In the Netherlands and Belgium, you choose between PostNL and GLS at checkout. In Belgium, you can also have your order delivered to a PostNL pick-up point. We ship to the other European countries with GLS, and to the United Kingdom and countries outside Europe usually with FedEx.

What if my parcel is delayed?
First check the tracking; sometimes a shipment is delivered later in the day or on the next working day. If the status does not change, email us your order number. We will contact the carrier straight away.
I entered the wrong address, what now?
Email us as soon as possible with your order number and the correct address. As long as the order has not been shipped yet, we will change it. If the shipment is already on its way, we will try to have it changed via the carrier.
How do returns work?
